Closing Statement (Synthesis Paper) (Project 3)

I believe that in my synthesis paper I did a good job searching about how hard it will be for college students/graduates to find a job in the world. My Purpose Statement and Design Plan were right on the spot because it reflected everything that I wanted to get touch on. I think I convinced my audience that it would be hard for college students/graduates to look for a job in the future because of technology. I used the very detailed quotes from the articles to get my point across and I believe that I did a good job with that as well because my paper looked very well written. I made strong points to every single quote that it would be hard to look for jobs in the future. Some mistakes I had was explaining every quote because I think I had good strong points it was just that I need it more details explaining the quote itself. My synthesis paper overall was very well written like I said because I think I convinced my audience and made my point across that it would be hard to get jobs in the future and you will need to travel to find at least one job because of technology is always increasing over years. Other than that I believe that my audience are concerned about this problem and will do something about it.

What do I care about?

What I care about the most is my family. I care about my family because I would be lost without them. My family means so much too me that I would do anything just to be with them. My family has been there for me when I was down and I want to do the same to them. My family has given me everything a kid wants in their life. I care so much about my family because I can go and talk to them about anything and they will understand me or even help me. I know they are really harsh with me with school because they never went to High School and they don't want me to make the same mistake as they did. Therefore, I love them for that because without their support I don't know where I would be at. My family knows the best for me and I will continue to make them happy. In my family all we do is support each others goals. My family knows that I have to set an example for my little brothers and I will continue doing that because I I'll do anything for them. Therefore, What i care about the most is my family.

My family would care about this topic. The reason why they would care about this topic is because we are a family and they do not want other people viewing them as bad parents. Also, the reason they care about this topic is because they want me to succeed in life and want the best for me. Other than that most people wouldn't care about this topic. Most people wouldn't care about this topic because its not effecting them. The only people that this topic is effecting is my family because if I talk nice about my family that they are doing a great job raising me then they will continue what they are doing to keep raising me the way they are.

Purpose Statement

Purpose: The purpose of my synthesis paper is to analyze a group of authors about the workplace; future, and how different things are going to change like working and hiring.  Dr. Wielgos assigned this project and I wanted to make changes and how it affects everyone that wants a job or is working.  I want my audience to be active about this issue and I want them to understand as well because it affects everyone in this world.  My main priority about this paper is that I want my audience to be concern about the future issue and to work ahead so we wont make the same mistake over.  This paper is truly going to benefit me next week when I start work.  Therefore, I want to help my audience to plan for the future. This paper will be very organized with straightforward points so my audience could understand everything that is going on.

Audience:  My audience will be students who are getting a future job. They should take a look into their jobs for more information and should see what the future has for them.  My audience should read my paper when they are alone in the library or outside of class where there is no noise so they could focus reading it.  When they finish I wanted them to be able to look at their future and see if there’s an issue or not. Also, they will understand that there will be effects on their future and they will be changes for the up coming years.  Lastly, after reading this paper my audience will be able to change their future or not change their future.

Context: The time people should read my paper is when they are in school because that’s when they have their mind focus and ready to read.  My audience needs to be in the right zone because if they are not then they will not take this serious and wont even understand the point of this paper. Therefore, the place people should read this paper is when they are in school and are focus and learn about the future.

Design Plan

Strategy: What I want to do is get my audience to right away get a clue of what the paper is going to be about so they can get ideas and get predictions. I will be using four sources and I will explain every single one so my audience can understand my point I’m getting across. 

Ethos: I will explain my four sources so my audience could see that my argument is strong and has good points that I want to get across. This is going to be a strong paper because I’m going to have four sources that will keep my essay with a nice flow.

Pathos: I would say that in the future there would be a lot of changes in jobs for people, but mostly for students. This paper will bring a lot of attention for those who really want to work.

Logos: I will have a lot of examples with fully detailed quotes so my audience can understand the future and will be concentrated in the future as well with jobs. Also, that there is away to stop the future and fix the issue.

Medium: This paper is an academic one; therefore, I will have MLA format during my whole process. This paper will be a six to seven page with citations included. This paper will get the message across and my audience will now learn about the future and pay more attention to it. Also, they will understand fully what my argument is about.

Argument: I just want my audience to understand the argument and how the future will look like with all these changes in the workplace. The only reason why this issue is important is because it affects every single one of us in this world.

Closing Statements (Project 2)

When comparing my statement of purpose, design plan, and my final paper I feel that I did a very good job on what I wanted to bring home to my audience. I know I did a good job because I analyzed every movie with good detail and gave examples of the real world as well. I knew this would be a perfect thing because all pictures were all the same a guy and a girl hold and looking at each other. My photo essay was a lot different from this paper. The reason why is because for my photo essay it was more of taking pictures and less words and for the rhetorical analysis is more words and less pictures. To be honest, I think I did a good job on both papers and I gave good examples to show my audience what I wanted to get across.

Statement of purpose

Purpose: I was on snapchat before class started the other day and I click on my friends’ story time and I saw him and his girlfriend smiling and kissing and it made me wonder that relationships are just like the movies. It made me think back to the time when I watched P.S. I Love You, The Lucky One, The Notebook, and The Vow. All these four movies have one thing in common; they all show the definition of true love is.  The type of audience that these movies attract is females and males at ages of 15 and up.  When teenager and young adults watch romantic trailers of a movie they immediately think of their significant other and it makes them want to watch it together.  When Valentines Day starts to approach I notice that more romantic trailers are being shown on television. Most people watch their romantic movies in their bedroom or living room.  People who are in love see the movie in a different way versus those who are not in love.
Audience: The audience is going to be all those people in the world that are in love. The reason why is only for those who are in love is because maybe they can relate to the movies. My audience needs to be in love because I'm trying to see if those who say that they are in love can tell me if its just like the movies.
Context: The time people should read this paper is with their girlfriends in a quiet place so they can agree or disagree on if their love is just like the movies. My audience needs to be really in love not barely dating but have a longer dating process. If people are barely dating it will not fit them because they might not have the same experiences as those in the movie. 

Design Plan

Strategies: I want my audience to see beyond what a romantic movie is. I want my audience to get use to the idea that the love shown in the romantic movies is not just in the movies, but can be seen in the real life. I will show pictures of the romantic posters to catch the emotional side of my audience so that they can feel what the actors are trying to show in the movie. I want my audience to feel the same way as the actors. Therefore, I will use ethos, pathos and logos to capture my audience attention.

Ethos: I will portray myself as an advocate for romantic movies. I will focus and give examples of love.

Pathos: I will use four romantic posters to show the emotional side of the movies. Every couple loves to see romantic movies. My audience will feel the sadness and happiness towards the movie and will love to see more romantic movies.

Logos: I will use facts that on February 14 couples will go see a romantic movie. This will make my topic more appealing and it will make it more realistic with the whole relationship in movies and in real life.

Medium:  I decided to have pictures on my essay so my audience won’t lose interest. The reason why I want pictures on my essay is because most people don’t like to read pages and pages. I will have colorful pictures, so my audience could see how happy both characters are in the movie. My font for this essay will be Cambria (Body) so my audience could lack and learn something about love.

Arrangement: I will have 4-5 pages explain every poster of how romantic each poster is. The words will take up most of the pages, but they will be pictures as well. By doing this it will catch my audience attention and get focus on the writing and pictures that go together. I believe that they are going to agree that love is just not in the movies, but also in real life. 

Closing Statements (Project 1)

In my Design Plan, I was hoping to get my audience attention by stating that graffiti could be s good thing and not seen as a bad thing. Some of the graffiti art was made by me and to show off my talent. After I showed my presentation to my friends, I was really happy because they understood that they are different types of graffiti and not only one (Crime). I just want my audience to take away from is that graffiti could be something positive and not negative as people view it.

Statement of Purpose

Purpose: My purpose is to inform and change the mind of my audience to view the art of graffiti as a positive and educational mindset. A lot of people see graffiti and instantly label it as vandalism and not an art form. However, graffiti is just another way to express yourself as being a form of an artist. Most people love graffiti because it is just creative writing with colors, yeah it destroys buildings, but it also builds character.  Some supports of allowing graffiti will let artist express him or herself in a form that they are respectable at. Allowing graffiti will keep people away from doing it illegally. However, most people think that graffiti is gang affiliated, but really not.  Graffiti is what you view of it and how you feel about it.  Graffiti is a way to do what you love just like anybody else does what he or she loves.  Graffiti is a way to show off your skill or talent to show the world what you could do with art.  However, graffiti takes time, patience, talent, skill, and a place to show it. I know graffiti is just the same as a rapper and as a painter painting. Those are peoples job and they do what they love, so why can’t graffiti artist do what they love and get paid. Graffiti isn’t bad it’s just a form of writing and expressing their selves with drawings and words on walls. If people just give it a chance I promise you that people will enjoy it.  Graffiti is not a crime, it’s the opposite, and it’s an art because it expresses everything you want. Many people do not understand graffiti, but it does not mean it’s a crime or something wrong for society. Its better using time painting than consuming drugs, and painting is a very good distractor for not consuming drugs.  Therefore, graffiti should be recognized and appreciated as an art form and accepted by the art community. 

Audience: My audience will be my classmates and my professor and the people the love graffiti and think that graffiti is not a crime its just art. My context of my presentation is that graffiti has many groups that it could be categorized. I want to show that graffiti is art. I want my audience to have a different perspective about graffiti and understand that graffiti could be art and not a crime. I also want my audience to see the different groups of graffiti. I will show pictures of the different groups of graffiti that they are. 

Context: The time that my audience should see my paper is when they are home relaxed.  The place where my audience should view my Photo Essay is when they are out of work and they are really comfortable.  This place will be perfect because they could take the time to relax and read. I want my paper to have a great understanding abut graffiti. I want them to have a positive mindset of graffiti.

Design Plan

Strategies:  The way I want to put my pictures is in categories so my audience could see the different types of graffiti. 

Ethos: What I am trying to show through my pictures is the difference of graffiti and which ones should stay and which ones should leave because every single one has a different meaning. However, with all of these pictures at the end I'm trying to show that all graffiti is not bad.

Pathos:  If my pictures are colorful and catch my audience attention they will see a whole new story behind graffiti. I truly believe that my readers will love different styles of graffiti.

Logos: People have been doing graffiti since I could remember. Therefore, graffiti is a big issue in this world and I need to show the beautiful styles of graffiti that people love to do. Most people do graffiti to escape a world that they don't want to be; therefore, they do graffiti so people could see what he/she is capable of doing. They will be pictures of graffiti artist to convince my readers that they should see graffiti in a different way.

 Medium: I need to take pictures of gang graffiti, message graffiti, and expressing yourself with graffiti. Therefore, I need to take pictures in a way that readers could tell apart the difference between graffiti. For example, gang graffiti are in bad neighborhoods and expressing yourself with graffiti are everywhere.  I need to show my audience the difference between graffiti and to convince my readers why some graffiti is not a crime.

Arrangement: Every picture will have an explanation, the location, and the type of graffiti.  I believe that this needs to be there because my audience will be lost if they don't have any information about the picture. The last slides will be about good graffiti and bad graffiti so my readers could get a different way of seeing graffiti in the streets.

What matters to me the most is family, I say that because I believe that at the end of the day family will always be there for you no matter what goes on in my life. Friends come and go, but family never leaves, What lead me to believe this is when I started high school I had some trouble with school work and the people who were so called my friends where never there for me, but somehow my family always seem to be there for me to help me when i wanted to give up during my high school careers. Not only that but I knew that when ever I had some type of problem I would first go to my family because they are truly the ones that I know that they won't go behind my back an talk about me in bad way. Therefore, my family means the world to me. I love them.
